eBay Finds: A Hard to Find Enicar Diver, a Zodiac in Great Condition, and an Iconic Midcentury Alarm Watch

Vintage Girard Perregaux Chronograph 

Starting this week off strong with an unusual vintage Girard Perregaux chronograph complete with boxes and papers. The large square steel case has some honest wear, but is unpolished and exhibits the original brushed finish. The elapsed time bezel has a few marks but is otherwise in good shape. The blue dial with three white subdials is a beauty and in great condition. The hour and minute hands are bright red and the chrono seconds hand is white, giving the watch a bold and colorful look. The watch is powered by the workhorse Valjoux 7736 manual wind movement, the same movement found in vintage Heuer chronographs among other brands. To top it all off, the watch comes complete with the original inner and outer boxes, and the guarantee and instruction booklets.

Vintage Zodiac Seawolf Automatic 

Here’s a beauty that you do not find often in this condition. This vintage Zodiac Sea Wolf is a real stunner. This no-date model with the metal bezel is one of the fist generations of Sea Wolf and honestly are usually found in very worn condition. This example is super clean, with an unpolished steel case and the bezel has almost zero wear. The black dial is gorgeous and the lume filled triangles at 12, 3, 6, and 9 are excellent. The snap on case back has nice crisp writing and the original crown is signed with the Zodiac symbol as it should. The Zodiac caliber 70-72 automatic movement is bright and clean and runs per the seller. If you’ve ever pined for one of these, this is your chance. This is probably the nicest example of this model I’ve seen for sale in over ten years.

Vintage LeCoultre Memovox 

The LeCoultre Memovox is easily the most famous and recognizable vintage alarm watch. This example in 10k yellow gold fill is in excellent condition and is a real looker. The case looks to be unpolished with no wearthrough on the gold plating. The bezel is nice and wide and the slim lugs really set the bezel off. The silver dial looks original and is mint, with slim applied gold markers and a date window at 3 o’clock. The center portion of the dial has an arrow on it and rotates with the second crown to set the alarm time. There is no movement picture, but the seller states the watch runs and works. The LeCoultre Memovox is a timeless classic, and this is a great example.

Vintage Lemania Chronograph

Speaking of timeless classics, check out this vintage Lemania chronograph…wow! This circa 1940’s chronograph is a beauty, with stunning patina. The steel case is really nice, with some pitting that is to be expected from a watch this age, with big lugs and classic 1940’s rectangular chrono pushers. The pulsations dial is original, with a beautiful patina that gives the whole watch an incredible look. I’m not always a fan of dial patina, but this one looks pretty darn cool. The printing on the dial is still quite readable and the diamond hands are lume filled and also in sweet shape. The watch is powered by a Lemania CH27 manual wind movement that is clean and runs well per the seller.

Vintage 1971 Accutron

From a busy 1940s chronograph with patina to a super clean, almost Bauhaus style Accutron. This vintage 1971 Accutron 214 is Spartan in its design, with a simple round steel case with wide bezel and slim, angular lugs. The bright white dial has slim markers and slim black hands, with an applied steel Accutron symbol and logo at 9 o’clock that give it a unique look. Like all the Accutron 214’s, this has the battery hatch on the back as well as the fold-out time setting mechanism. And on top of this minty fresh beauty, it comes with the full kit, inner and outer boxes, guarantee and instruction booklets, hangtag, price tag and even the original signed leather strap and buckle! Really tough to top a mint, full set like this.

Vintage Enicar Sherpa Ultradive 

Once again, saving the best for last! Here we have the rare and beautiful vintage Enicar Sherpa Ultradive Super Compressor. This is the large, 42mm Super Compressor, and the nearly impossible to find Ultradive version with the thick and unique crown guard between the dual crowns. The crowns are both large, with the classic Super Compressor crosss-hatching as well as the Enicar logo on the. The case is unpolished with nice sharp edges, something you rarely see on this model for some reason. The black dial looks clean, with perfect patina on the lume plots. The internal rotating bezel is clean and in great shape. The acrylic crystal looks original, but has some issues which are clearly shown in the pictures. However, a good polish to the crystal should help to show that killer dial. This is a very rare and highly desired vintage diver, and in great shape to boot.
